Founded in 1994, Toptots was created to give parents and caregivers an opportunity to spend meaningful, focused time with their little ones while supporting their development through purposeful play. Our age-specific programmes are designed around the developmental needs of each stage, supporting cognitive, emotional, social and physical development in a fun and nurturing environment.

Toptots Midrand is owned and run by Rakhi Daya, who has been part of the Toptots family since 2008. A qualified preschool teacher, Rakhi worked in early childhood education before joining Toptots and brings this experience and knowledge to her role as a franchise owner. She is also a mom to a young adult daughter and teenage son who attended the Toptots programme in their formative years.

Kind, soft-spoken and hardworking, Rakhi combines her teaching background with many years of Toptots experience. She is committed to creating a welcoming space where parents and caregivers can enjoy focused time with their little ones while learning more about their development.

Classes include a variety of age appropriate activities incorporating sensory and messy play, music, movement, fine and gross motor activities, perceptual development and creative exploration. Parents and caregivers are also given practical ideas and guidance that they can take home and continue using with their children between classes.

More than simply keeping little hands busy, every Toptots activity has a purpose. Through play, interaction and quality one on one time, we aim to support each child's development while strengthening the connection between parent and child.
