Founded in 1994, Toptots was created to give parents and caregivers an opportunity to spend meaningful, focused time with their little ones while supporting their development through purposeful play. Our age-specific programmes are designed around the developmental needs of each stage, supporting cognitive, emotional, social and physical development in a fun and nurturing environment.

Toptots Fairland is owned and run by Lydia Oldham, who has been part of the Toptots family since 2004. A qualified teacher and mother to two grown-up children, Lydia brings more than 20 years of Toptots experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to the families who attend her classes.

Energetic, organised and incredibly committed to what she does, Lydia has a wealth of knowledge about early childhood development and a particular interest in sensory development. She enjoys sharing this knowledge with parents, helping them understand their child's development and the purpose behind the activities they experience together in class.

Classes include a variety of age appropriate activities incorporating sensory and messy play, music, movement, fine and gross motor activities, perceptual development and creative exploration. Parents and caregivers are also given practical ideas and guidance that they can take home and continue using with their children between classes.

More than simply keeping little hands busy, every Toptots activity has a purpose. Through play, interaction and quality one on one time, we aim to support each child's development while strengthening the connection between parent and child.
