Hey Mama! I’m Rodé de Jager, a proud mom of four little adventurers (ages 5, 4, 3, and 1) and the founder of Baylee’s Collective, a locally made kids’ apparel brand that started from sleepless nights and a deep love for creating practical, beautiful essentials for little ones. But more than that, I’m just a real mom—figuring things out one sticky-fingered hug and spilled snack at a time.
Our family’s story is a tapestry of love, a little chaos, and a whole lot of grace. After having our first son, our hearts were opened to adoption during the COVID lockdown, and we welcomed our second son into our family—a journey that changed us in the most beautiful and stretching ways. Adoption isn’t just part of our story; it’s a calling, a privilege, and at times, a challenge. I’ll be sharing the raw, real, and redemptive moments of adoption—the beauty, the struggles, and the deep heart work it takes to blend brokenness into belonging.
Motherhood has taught me that perfection is overrated and that true connection comes from embracing the mess. So, if you’re looking for a space where we boast in imperfection, laugh at the chaos, and hold space for both the hard and the holy, you’re in the right place.
Let’s do this together—one meltdown, coffee refill, and miracle at a time. I’m so glad you’re here!
