About Us
My work centres on providing a space where people can feel safe enough to be real, whether they are children, adolescents, adults, or parents navigating life’s challenges.
At Juhanné Britz Counselling Practice (Psyché Studio), I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are moving through things like anxiety, overwhelm, emotional stress, relationship difficulties, or life transitions. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. I use evidence informed methods and adapt the work to the person in front of me, with a strong focus on connection, trust, and feeling understood.
Alongside counselling, I also bring in drama and creative expression, especially through drama classes for children. This isn’t about performance or getting it “right.” It’s about giving children another way to express what they might not have words for.
Children naturally make sense of their world through imagination. In role play, storytelling, and play, they begin to express emotions, work through experiences, and grow in confidence in who they are. This can be especially helpful for feelings or experiences that are difficult to put into words.
There is something very powerful about the link between the arts and mental health. Creative expression can support emotional regulation, help with problem solving, and build resilience over time. Drama also connects with approaches like psychodrama and play based work, where people can safely explore different perspectives, try out real life situations, and grow in empathy and self awareness.
My vision is to offer meaningful, accessible mental health support that integrates evidence informed practice with creativity, so people can engage in growth in ways that feel authentic, safe, and sustainable.
My mission is to hold a space where people can explore, grow, and reconnect with themselves, whether through conversation, play, or creative expression, while building insight and practical tools for wellbeing.
