Hey, I'm Charné. A Cape Town-based photographer and toddler mom and I am so glad you found me here!
I've been behind the lens for over a decade, and in that time I've had the absolute privilege of capturing 100+ wedding days and hundreds of family and lifestyle sessions across the Western Cape. But honestly? Becoming a mom changed everything about why I do this.
Motherhood cracked my heart wide open. It taught me just how fast time moves, how quickly the ordinary moments become the ones you'd give anything to relive. I know this because I'm living it too, right alongside you.
That's exactly why I show up to every family session the way I do, not with a checklist of stiff poses, but with my eyes wide open, watching and waiting for the real stuff to happen. The in-between moments. The ones that feel almost too ordinary to photograph, until they're not.
My approach is relaxed and low-pressure. I want your family to feel like yourselves, not like you're performing for a camera. Kids especially pick up on that energy, so I follow their lead, work with the chaos and find the magic in whatever the day brings.
