Silver Leaf is a Montessori-inspired, caregiver-accompanied morning programme for children aged 1–3 years, based in Green Point, Cape Town.

Our programme offers a calm, nurturing environment where young children and their caregivers enjoy meaningful play, connection and early learning together. Each morning includes a balance of creative activities, practical life experiences, music and movement, stories, outdoor exploration and opportunities for children to follow their own interests in a thoughtfully prepared environment.

At Silver Leaf, we believe childhood should be filled with joy, curiosity and discovery. We value each child as an individual and are passionate about creating a space where children feel seen, heard and accepted while developing confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Founded by Montessori educator Monique van der Heijden, Silver Leaf is guided by her 13 years of experience in early childhood education, Montessori teaching and teacher training, together with a deep commitment to supporting not only children's development, but also the adults who care for them.
