About Us
Our Occupational Therapy Practice is dedicated to supporting infants, children, adolescents, and their families through evidence-based intervention aimed at enhancing functional participation, development, learning, and overall quality of life. We specialize in Sensory Integration Therapy and Reflex Integration using the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI®) Method, providing individualized assessment and treatment programs tailored to each client's unique needs.
We recognize that optimal development relies on the successful integration of sensory processing, postural control, motor planning, reflex maturation, emotional regulation, and cognitive functioning. When these foundational systems are underdeveloped or disrupted, children may experience difficulties with learning, attention, coordination, emotional regulation, social participation, visual-perceptual skills, and activities of daily living.
Our practice offers comprehensive assessments to identify underlying neurological, sensory, motor, and developmental challenges that may be impacting a child's functional performance at home, school, and within the community. Intervention programs are designed to address the root causes of difficulties rather than only the observable symptoms.
A primary area of expertise within the practice isReflex Integration using the MNRI® Method. This internationally recognized neurodevelopmental approach evaluates and addresses retained or underdeveloped primary reflexes that may interfere with motor development, emotional regulation, learning, visual functioning, postural control, and sensory processing. Through specific neurosensorimotor techniques and therapeutic protocols, reflex patterns are supported to mature and integrate, allowing for improved neurological organization and functional performance.
In addition, we use Sensory Integration Therapy, which focuses on improving the brain's ability to process and organize sensory information from the environment and the body. Through carefully structured therapeutic activities, children develop improved regulation, attention, coordination, body awareness, balance, motor skills, and participation in daily activities.
Our therapeutic approach is holistic and family-centred, recognizing the importance of collaboration between therapists, parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals. We strive to empower children and their families by providing practical strategies, education, and support that facilitate success across all environments.
Through compassionate care, clinical expertise, and a commitment to ongoing professional development, our practice aims to help every individual achieve greater independence, confidence, participation, and developmental potential.
