About Us
Kinderkinetics is an exciting, specialized peadiatric field which aims to increase the total well-being of typically developing children between 0 and 13 years of age. This is done by stimulating, promoting and rectifying age specific neuro-motor and physical skills. Early physical stimulation is extremely important for our children, as it helps with milestone development and plays a major role in school readiness. Basic motor skills are the building blocks for overall development. Early physical stimulation helps improve self-confidence, as well as cognitive development. Therefore, a lack of motor stimulation at an early age may have serious consequences in later years.
Kinderkinetics is studied at certain universities and is a four year degree, with specialization in the Honours year.
The vision and the mission of BeeYou Kinderkinetics is to create a comfortable environment where children are free to be their true authentic selves, and have the opportunity to develop themselves while developing their their skills. We strive to encourage their development by providing age-specific activities that will motivate them to work hard and achieve their full potential. Each child is special and unique, and our programmes are specifically tailored to each of those attributes.
Our programmes include:
BabyKinetics - This programme is a parent-and-baby session for ages 0-24 months, which focuses on sensory stimulation, milestone development, as well as motor development.
Preschool Movement Development - This programme is for children ages 2-7 years and focuses on gross and fine motor development. Attention is placed on concentration and motor planning, muscle tone, bilateral integration and spatial orientation, as well as hand-eye/foot-eye coordination, among others.
Remedial Therapy - This programme is for ages 4-13 years and is designed for children with special needs, perceptual-motor problems, learning problems, or gross/fine motor delays, to name a few.
Wellness, Sport Development and Fitness - This programme is for ages 7-13 years and focuses on physical fitness, sport development, play and recreation for children with weight issues, diabetes, or obesity problems, and for children who want to improve their sports skills.
Water Safety and Orientation - This programme is for ages 6 months to 13 years and is based around teaching children how to be safe in the water, while teaching them how to swim. It also focuses on teaching the basics of the different swimming strokes.
