About Us
What started out as a hobby after my young kids went to bed at night, with bits of fabric, felt and a sewing machine which I inherited from my grandmother, soon turned into a full time, creative, educational business which helps babies and young children enhance sensory development and practise fine motor skills (FMS).
Having 2 young kids is what inspired me to start making Busy books about 7 years ago, as I wanted a toy with many different layers of development and skill to it. Busy Books are filled with fun activities that teach not only FMS, but also planning, colour and shape recognition, creativity, independence, puzzle building and self worth by being able to complete a task.
I also make Activity Cubes, Tummy Time Play Mats, Fidget Toys, Sensory and Snuggle Toys and High Contrast Toys, to name few.
All these educational toys have been designed and made by me, with many hours of research going into new pieces to ensure that they don't just look pretty, but that they have educational value behind them.
Toys are made from locally sourced materials such as 100% cotton fabrics, felt and other accessories, ensuring that I support local small mom businesses as far as possible.
